Kerala Govt-run Keltron secures contracts worth Rs 1,076 crore from Tamil Nadu

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Government-run Keltron has clinched three prestigious contracts from the Tamil Nadu government, collectively valued at Rs 1,076 crore.

These contracts, awarded through competitive tenders floated by the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Service Corporation, underscore Keltron's reputation for excellence and innovation in the field of electronics and education technology.

The largest among these contracts, valued at Rs 519 crore, entails the establishment of 8,209 cutting-edge IT labs across 7,985 schools, along with the setup of a sophisticated command and control centre, inclusive of comprehensive maintenance services. Additionally, a contract worth Rs 455 crore has been awarded to equip various schools with 22,931 state-of-the-art smart classrooms.

Furthermore, Keltron will supply 79,723 tablet PCs to primary schoolteachers in Tamil Nadu under a contract worth Rs 101 crore, further amplifying the impact of Keltron's expertise in educational technology.
