New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday launched ‘RBIDATA,’ a mobile application that provides access to more than 11,000 economic and financial data series related to the Indian economy.

According to RBI, the app offers macroeconomic and financial statistics in an interactive format, allowing users to view time series data through graphs and charts, as well as download it for analysis. It also provides details such as data source, unit of measurement, frequency, and recent updates.

The app features a ‘Banking Outlet’ section that helps users locate banking facilities within 20 kilometres of their location. Additionally, the ‘SAARC Finance’ section provides access to economic data from SAARC countries.

RBIDATA serves as a mobile gateway to RBI’s Database on the Indian Economy (DBIE) portal, making economic data more accessible to researchers, students, and the general public.
