Gorakhpur: A total of 1,424 aids and assistive devices were distributed to 310 pre-identified beneficiaries in Gorakhpur on February 14, 2026, as Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) rolled out a major CSR intervention under its “SWASTHYA SATHI” initiative.
The distribution programme, held at the Composite Regional Centre Gorakhpur, was organised in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), Kanpur.
Beneficiaries received a wide range of mobility and support equipment including motorised tricycles, advanced wheelchairs, hearing aids, walkers, crutches, walking sticks, knee braces, LS belts and cervical collars - each designed to enhance mobility, dignity and independence.
The programme was attended by Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan and HURL Managing Director Dr Siba Prasad Mohanty. Addressing the gathering, Ravi Kishan emphasised that such support enables persons with disabilities to lead self-reliant lives and access livelihood opportunities. Dr Mohanty reaffirmed HURL’s continued focus on meaningful CSR efforts across its operational areas, aimed at creating lasting and inclusive community impact.
