Bhubaneswar: Three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have been promoted to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP) in Odisha. They all belong to the batch of 1990.

According to an official order, those who have been promoted are Arun Sarangi, Sudhanshu Sarangi, and YB Khurania.

The General Administration and Public Grievance Department of the Odisha government issued a notification announcing the promotions.

Arun Sarangi is currently posted as the ADGP and Director of the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy, while Sudhanshu Sarangi is currently serving as Chairman-cum-Managing Director at the Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OSPH & WC) Limited, Bhubaneswar.

Similarly, Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, who is on the Central deputation, has been allowed proforma promotion to the grade of DG of Police in IPS in Level 16 of the pay matrix. /BI/
