Bureaucratic reshuffle in Andhra Pradesh

Amravati: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Andhra Pradesh government has transferred 18 IAS officers, marking the second major reorganisation since N. Chandrababu Naidu assumed office as Chief Minister. The changes were outlined in Government Order (G.O.) Rt. No. 1100, issued on 22nd June by Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad.

Key appointments include S. Nagalakshmi, previously the Vizianagaram District Collector and Magistrate, who has been reassigned to Guntur, replacing M. Venugopal Reddy. Reddy has been directed to report to the General Administration Department (GAD) for further posting.

B.R. Ambedkar, formerly the Director of Mid-day Meals and Schools Sanitation, will now serve as the Collector of Vizianagaram district. Visakhapatnam District Collector A. Mallikarjuna has also been directed to report to the GAD, with the Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate temporarily taking over his duties.

A.S. Dinesh Kumar, the former Prakasam District Collector, has been appointed as the Collector of Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district, replacing M. Vijaya Suneetha, who will report to the GAD.

A. Thameem Ansariya, previously the Commissioner of Srikakulam Municipal Corporation, will now serve as the Collector of Prakasam district. Sagili Shan Mohan, the Chittoor District Collector, has been transferred to Kakinada district, replacing J. Nivas, who has been transferred without a specified posting.

C. Naga Rani, the former Director of Technical Education, has been appointed as the Collector of West Godavari district, succeeding Sumit Kumar, who is now the Collector of Chittoor district. K. Vetriselvi, previously the Director of Women Development and Child Welfare, has been posted as the Collector of Eluru district, replacing V. Prasanna Venkatesh, who will report to the GAD.

P. Prasanthi, the former Agriculture Marketing Director, will serve as the Collector of East Godavari district, taking over from K. Madhavi Latha, who has been transferred without a new posting.

Srijana Gummalla, the former Kurnool District Collector, will replace S. Dilli Rao as the Collector of NTR district, with Rao reporting to the GAD for further posting. P. Ranjit Basha, previously the Collector of Bapatla district, will assume duties as the Kurnool District Collector, with the Joint Collector of Bapatla taking additional charge until further orders.

The Secretaries have been instructed to arrange in-charge appointments for any posts left vacant due to these transfers.

Additionally, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the repatriation of Peeyush Kumar, Additional Secretary of the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, to his parent cadre at the request of the Andhra Pradesh government. /BI
