Bureaucratic rejig in Delhi, many IAS officers’ postings reshuffled

New Delhi: In what is seen as a major bureaucratic shake-up amid the ongoing tussle between Delhi Government and Central Government, the
Services Department under Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor has ordered transfers and postings of 17 Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers.

The critical Health & Family Welfare Department (H&FW) has a new Secretary Dr SB Deepak Kumar. Kumar was previously posted as commissioner of Trade and Taxes. He also had additional charge of secretary, Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi. Vijendra Singh Rawat, Special Secretary (H&FW) with additional charge of Transport, has been posted as Special Commissioner of Transport.

Ashish Chandra Varma who is working as Principal Secretary Finance in the Delhi Government has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary Trade & Tax.

Manish Kumar Gupta, posted as Additional Chief Secretary (Land and Building, Labour, Industries) has been given the charge of Additional Chief Secretary, PWD.

HPS Saran, currently holding charges of additional IG Prisons, has been given additional charges as secretary of Public Grievances Commission.

Dr Pooja Joshi, currently the director of Social Welfare, will now hold charges of special secretary Finance, and will also hold the post of Secretary DDCD. Indu Shekar Mishra has been transferred to Panchayat.

District Commissioner South Monika Priya Darshini has been posted as Executive Director of Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd, with few additional charges.

DM of North West Cheshta Yadav goes to Delhi Jal Board as additional CEO, while Mekala Chaitanya Prasad, who has been awaiting posting, will now be posted as DM of South District. SDM Najafgarh Kale Amit Marutirao has been posted as chief general manager of the Delhi Transport Corporation on a deputation basis.
