IPS officer Pradip Kumar takes over as BSF Meghalaya Frontier chief

New Delhi: Pradip Kumar has taken charge as the chief of BSF Meghalaya Frontier. Kumar is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of 2003 batch, Telangana cadre.

According to an official statement, Kumar has succeeded Inspector General Inderjit Singh Rana who has been transferred to the BSF Training Centre, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, after successfully commanding the Meghalaya unit for one and a half years.

Earlier Kumar was posted at the BSF Headquarters in New Delhi. Kumar has stressed on coordination among all agencies for the effective management of the border with Bangladesh.

“Development and upliftment of the border population would remain our prime concern,” said Kumar. /BI/
