CMPDI and HLL Management Academy join hands to elevate menstrual hygiene in Jharkhand

Ranchi: The Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI) headquarters under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project has partnered with the HLL Management Academy (HMA), Kerala. An agreement worth Rs 52 lakh has been inked to promote healthy menstrual hygiene practices through training and spearhead easy access and responsible disposal of sanitary napkins for girl students across 50 government schools in Jharkhand.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formalized between RK Mahapatro, General Manager (HRD/CSR) of CMPDI, and Manoj Daya, Senior Manager at HLL Management Academy. This innovative CSR initiative will see the strategic installation of 50 sanitary napkin vending machines and 50 incinerators in government schools throughout Ranchi, Jharkhand. The duration of the project spans 8 months, during which sanitary napkins will be generously supplied to these schools.

This collaborative effort extends into comprehensive awareness programs, spearheaded by experts, aimed at enlightening and empowering young girls about menstrual hygiene. The initiative is not only about infrastructure but also about imparting vital knowledge that fosters a holistic approach to menstrual health.

The ceremony marking the formal agreement witnessed the collective presence of the CSR teams from CMPDI and officials from HLL Management Academy. This union represents a collective resolve to nurture a healthier, more informed community through collaborative action. /BI/
