Gandhi Nagar: In a spectacular demonstration of health and unity, Gujarat made headlines as it secured a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of people performing Surya Namaskar simultaneously at 108 venues on the first day of the New Year. The record-breaking event drew praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who commended the state for its commitment to Yoga and cultural heritage.

The initiative, organized at iconic locations including the Modhera Sun Temple, saw diverse participation from families, students, yoga enthusiasts, and senior citizens. The significance of the number 108, deeply rooted in Indian culture, added a spiritual dimension to the event.
