Overwhelming response to Group Housing sites of HSIIDC

Chandigarh: Two Group Housing sites in Gurugram put to auction by the HSIIDC generated overwhelming response from established developers.

An official spokesperson said that HSIIDC offered two Group Housing sites measuring 8.34 and 10.8 acres in Sector 80, Gurugram for developing premium residential accommodation, in February and March 2023.

The said offer was by way of participation through e-auction, in line with the government directions to maintain transparency in the allotment system, which was held on 20th March, 2023. Renowned and established developers in the field of developing residential houses and apartments participated in the said auction.

He further informed that National Capital Region's (NCR) residential market is on an upward trajectory as strong homebuying sentiments continued throughout the Calendar Year-2022. He said that NCR’s annual residential sales witnessed remarkable growth by 67 per cent YoY in the CY2022 with 58,460 housing units sold during the previous year.

He further said that Gurugram continues to remain the focal point of NCR’s primary residential sales and its group housing and luxury high-rises became homebuyer favourites, which will increase from 27 per cent to 41 per cent in  2022.

The spokesperson said that HSIIDC has also launched the Global City project and put three sites measuring approx. 23, 40 & 78 acres to auction. The Global City Gurugram project is being developed by Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), the infrastructure development arm of the Government of Haryana, and aims to transform an over 1000-acre land parcel situated along the Dwarka Expressway, at the heart of Gurugram, into an innovative and sustainable urban hub that offers a mix of residential, commercial, institutional, recreational and hospitality spaces.

He further added that the development will be fully equipped with the latest technologies and infrastructure amenities such as smart city infrastructure, 24 x 7 power supply, water management and eco-friendly systems for transport and waste management.
