Mumbai: THE Maharashtra government has transferred over 50 IPS officers, effecting a major reshuffle in the police department amid corona pandemic induced challenges the state is facing today. Amitabh Gupta, Principal Secretary, Special, Home Department, will be the new Police Commissioner of Pune.

According to a government orders, Pune Police Commissioner K Venkatesham has been appointed Additional Director General of Police, Special Campaign, while Deputy Commissioner of Police (Anti-Narcotics Cell) Shivdeep Lande has been promoted as Deputy Inspector General of Anti-Terrorism Squad in Mumbai.

The government order says that 41 officers have been allotted new assignments, while the remaining bureaucrats have not yet been given fresh postings. Vinit Agrawal goes as Principal Secretary (Special), Home, Mumbai, Anup Kumar Singh, ADGP, Home Guards, Mumbai, Sandeep Bishnoi, ADGP, Railways, Mumbai, and Vinay Kargaonkar, ADGP, Protection of Civil Rights Department.

According to the order, Brijesh Singh has been appointed Special IG, Administration, Mumbai, Makarand Ranade, Special IG, State Crime Record Bureau and CID, Pune; Sunil Phulari, Additional Police Commissioner, Crime, Nagpur City; Ranjan Kumar Sharma, DIG, CID, Pune; Shivdeep Lande, DIG, ATS, Mumbai; Mohit Kumar Garg, SP, Ratnagiri; Vikram Deshmane, SP, Thane Rural, and Rajendra Dabhade, SP, Sindhudurg.

 Sachin Patil has been made SP, Nasik Rural; Manoj Patil SP, Ahmadnagar; Sanjay Baviskar, DIG, State Reserve Police Force, Pune; Naveenchandra Reddy, Additional Police Commissioner, North Region, Nagpur City; Dilip Zalke, Additional Police Commissioner, South Region, Nagpur City; Jalindar Supekar, Additional Police Commissioner, Administration, Nagpur City; M B Tambade, Director/DIG, Maharashtra State Security Corporation, Mumbai; Manoj Kumar Sharma, DIG, Maharashtra State Security Corporation, Mumbai; and Jayant Naiknavare, DIG, VIP Security, Mumbai.
