Chennai: In a significant reshuffle within the Tamil Nadu police force, 56 officers have been transferred and assigned to new postings across various regions.

The Greater Chennai Police (GCP) has seen the appointment of new Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) in key areas, including Triplicane, Mylapore, Flower Bazaar, and Anna Nagar. S. Selvanagarathinam, previously the Superintendent of Police (SP) at the Police Academy, has taken up the role of DCP, Triplicane, succeeding Deshmukh Shekar Sanjay. D.N. Hari Kiran Prasad, formerly SP of the Coastal Security Group in Ramanathapuram, has been appointed as DCP, Mylapore. Bhukya Sneha Priya, who served as SP in the Anti-Terrorism Squad, is now the DCP of Anna Nagar.

Additional postings within the GCP include G. Subbulakshmi as DCP, Koyambedu, and P. Sundaravadivel as DCP, Flower Bazaar. S. Sakthi Ganesan has been assigned as DCP, Intelligence Section-I, while Sujith Kumar will serve as DCP, Security, GCP, Chennai. In other moves, I. Eswaran, formerly DCP of Pulianthope, has been transferred to serve as SP, Railways. Ankit Jain, who was DCP, T. Nagar, has been reassigned as SP of the TN Special Police, VIII Battalion, in New Delhi.

The reshuffle also affects district postings. N.S. Nisha has been appointed as SP of the Nilgiris, moving from her previous role as DCP, Central Crime Branch, GCP. Albert John takes over as SP of Thoothukudi, having been shifted from Tirupattur. K. Karthikeyan, previously SP of Tiruvannamalai, is now the SP of Coimbatore. Adarsh Pachera has been assigned as SP of Perambalur, replacing C. Shyamala Devi, who has been transferred. Sherya Gupta steps in as SP of Tirupattur, and Gautham Goyal, who served as DCP in Pallikaranai with the Tambaram City Police, is now DCP of Salem. The previous DCP of Salem, A.K. Arun Kabilan, has been reassigned as SP of Nagapattinam. Other district-level postings include D. Kannan as SP of Virudhunagar, G. Stalin as SP of Mayiladuthurai, S.S. Maheswaran as SP of Dharmapuri, V.R. Srinivasan as SP of Tenkasi, and N. Mathivanan as SP of Vellore.

Furthermore, SP-level officer S. Megalina Iden has been appointed as DCP, Headquarters, GCP, while V.V. Geethanjali, who was DCP, Cyber Crime Cell, will now serve as DCP, Central Crime Branch-II. Ramesh Babu has been assigned as DCP, High Court Security. /BI
