7 IAS, 5 IPS officers transferred in Bihar

Patna: In an administrative reshuffle, seven IAS and five IPS officers have been transferred. Manu Maharaj, a 2005 batch officer of the Indian Police Service and currently posted as DIG, Chhapra range, has been relieved to join as DIG, ITBP.

Among IAS officers, Manoj Kumar, IAS, Special Secretary, Health Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Secondary Education. Sanjay Kumar Singh has been posted as Special Secretary in the Health Department. Girivar Dayal Singh, Special Secretary, Education Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Directorate of Youth Welfare and Sports.

According to media reports, Amarendra Prasad Singh, Special Secretary, Industries Department, has been made the Director of Primary Education, while Munger Municipal Commissioner Shrikant Shastri has been appointed Project Director in Bihar Education Project Council.

Dr Ranjit Kumar Singh, Director, Primary Education, has been posted as Director, Panchayati Raj Department. Director, Directorate of Youth Welfare and Sports Dr Sanjay Sinha has been transferred to the post of Chief Commissioner, the Sugarcane Industries Department.

Among IPS officers, Praveen Kumar has been appointed DIG of East Champaran. Lalan Mohan Prasad, Jitendra Mishra, Rajesh Tripathi and Ravindra Kumar have also been transferred. /BI/
