8 IAS officers get new postings in Delhi, Niharika Rai made Finance Secretary

New Delhi: As many as eight IAS officers have got new postings in Delhi, Niharika Rai, 2005 batch IAS officer, has been made Finance Secretary. She will also be holding the additional charge of Secretary, Urban Development.

According to an official notification, Virendra Kumar, an IAS officer 2006 batch, will be taking over as Secretary, Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Minorities. Vijendra Singh Rawat, 2007 batch officer, has been transferred and appointed Special Secretary, Urban Development.

Harleen Kaur, an IAS officer of 2012 batch, has been assigned the post of Additional Commissioner, North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), while Satyendra Singh Dusawat, 2012 batch officer, gets the charge of Member (Finance), Delhi Jal Board. Monica Priyadarshini, 2014 batch officer, has been given the post of Special Secretary, Health and Family Welfare and the additional charge of Secretary, Sahitya Kala Parishad.

Dr Kinny Singh, an IAS officer of 2014 batch, has been made Special Secretary, Services. Dr Singh will hold the charge till March 31, 2022. He will also be taking up the post of Deputy Commissioner, New Delhi District, and Revenue Department with effect from April 1, 2022. Saumya Sharma, IAS officer of 2018 batch, has been appointed Joint Commissioner, Trade and Taxes. /BI/
