New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (AICC) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the appointment of Vikram Dev Dutt as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Air India Asset Holding Ltd (AIAHL) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India. Dutt is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of 1993 batch of the UT cadre.

AIAHL is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) formed by the Government of India with an aim to provide unified asset holding services as stated in the object clauses of its Memorandum of Association. The objects to be pursued by the company include acquiring from Air India Ltd its shares held in Air India Air Transport Services Ltd, Air India Engineering Services Ltd, ) Airline Allied Services Ltd, and (iv) Hotel Corporation of India Ltd. /BI/
