Thiruvananthapuram: Transport commissioner, Kochi city police commissioner, and Malappuram SP Sasidharan S, a Kerala cadre officer, are among the top IPS officers transferred by the state government in the latest shuffle. IG (crimes) C Nagaraju, a 2003 batch Kerala cadre officer, has been transferred and posted as transport commissioner. He will replace IG Akbar, who has been transferred as IG (crimes), Ernakulam. Kochi city police commissioner S. Syamsundar, a 2005 Kerala cadre officer, has been transferred and posted as IG (south zone). Additionally, he will assume the full additional charge of the post of managing director, Kerala Police Housing and Construction Department.

KPHCC managing director Jayanath J has been transferred and posted as DIG (protection of civil rights), while DIG (anti-terrorist squad) Putta Vimaladitya, a 2008 Kerala cadre officer, has been transferred and posted as DIG and Commissioner of Police, Kochi city.

He will also hold the full additional charge of the post of DIG (anti-terrorist squad). DIG (Thrissur range) Thomson Jose will assume the full additional charge of the post of DIG (Ernakulam Range). SP (cyber operations) Hari Sankar will also hold the full additional charge of the post of AIG (personnel).

SP (VACB Ernakulam) J Himendranath has been transferred and posted as SP (crimes, Kottayam). Malappuram SP Sasidharan has been transferred and posted as SP (VACB Ernakulam). Viswanadh R will be the new Malappuram SP. /BI
