Srinagar: In a major administrative rejig, the government of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has announced transfer orders for nine IAS officers with immediate effect. 

In the order, dated February 26, four IAS officers and one IRS official have been posted in the Union Territory as a part of the inter-cadre transfer initiative. These officers have been transferred from outside J&K.

IRS officer Alok Kumar, UP cadre IAS officers Rahul Pandey and Krittika Jyotsna, Rajasthan cadre IAS officer Athar Aamir UI Shafi and IAS officer Akshay Labroo, posted here on Friday, are on three years deputation to Jammu and Kashmir.

Alok Kumar, awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Youth Services and Sports Department.

Rahul Pandey, awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat and shall also hold the charge of Director, Information, J&K, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.

Krittika Jyotsna, who is also awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Chief Executive Officer, Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA), replacing Bipul Pathak, IAS, who will now hold the post of Principal Secretary to the Government, Science and Technology Department.

Jyotsna will also hold the additional charge of Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, relieving Munirul-Islam, KAS, Director, Archives, Archaeology and Museums, J&K of the additional charge of the post.

Athar Aamir UI Shafi Khan (IAS), awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation.

Akshay Labroo, awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Srinagar (West).

Meanwhile, Director Information Syed Sehrish Asgar has now been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to the Government's Information Department.

Sarmad Hafeez (IAS), Administrative Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department, holding additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Tourism and Culture Departments has been transferred and posted as Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department.

In addition, Hafeez shall also hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Culture Department, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.

Gazanffer Ali (KAS), Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, is further transferred and posted as Additional Inspector General of Registration, Kashmir.

Gulzar Ahmad Dar (KAS), Additional Inspector General of Registration, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar. /BI/
