New Delhi: Noted economist and historian Sanjeev Sanyal has been appointed full-time member of the Economic Advisory Council to Prime Minister (EAC-PM), an independent body constituted to give advice on economic and related issues to the Government of India.

Sanyal has also worked as the Principal Economic Adviser to the Finance Ministry in the current regime. Having worked in financial markets since the mid-nineties, he was the Managing Director and Global Strategist at Deutsche Bank till 2015. He also serves as the co-chair of the Framework Working Group of the G20. /BI/
