Bhuvnesh Kumar takes charge as CEO of UIDAI

New Delhi: Bhuvnesh Kumar has assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). He is a 1995-batch IAS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre.

 

A graduate and gold medallist from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Kumar has held several key positions at both the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh.

 

In addition to his role as CEO of UIDAI, he continues to serve as an Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Previously, he was the Joint Secretary in MeitY.

 

In Uttar Pradesh, Kumar held various significant roles, including Principal Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, Secretary Finance, Secretary MSME, Secretary Technical Education, and Divisional Commissioner in the Department of Land Revenue.

 

He also served as Secretary in charge of Sports and Youth Welfare, Planning, and Vocational Education, among other responsibilities in his cadre.
