New Delhi: Based on the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission from 20 September to 29 September 2024, candidates with the roll numbers listed below have qualified for the Personality Test (Interview). The test is part of the selection process for the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, and other Central Services (Group A and Group B).
The candidature of these candidates is provisional and subject to their meeting all eligibility criteria. Candidates must produce original certificates supporting their eligibility and reservation claims, including age, educational qualifications, community, economically weaker section, Person with Benchmark Disability, and other documents such as TA forms at the time of the Personality Test. Those seeking benefits under SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, or ex-servicemen categories must present original certificates issued by the application closing date for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024, i.e., 6 March 2024.
The dates for the Personality Tests will be announced in due course and will take place at the Union Public Service Commission office at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi. The schedule for the Personality Tests will be published, and e-Summon Letters for the tests will be made available for download on the Commission’s websites, https://www.upsc.gov.in and https://www.upsconline.in. Candidates unable to download their e-Summon Letters should immediately contact the Commission’s office by letter, telephone, fax, or email at csm-upsc[at]nic[dot]in. No paper summon letters will be issued for the Personality Tests.
Requests to change the date or time of the Personality Test will not ordinarily be entertained.
All candidates who have qualified for the Personality Tests must fill and submit the Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II) online. According to the Civil Services Examination, 2024 rules, candidates must indicate their preferences for the services participating in the examination in the DAF-II. This form must be submitted along with any required annexures for the OBC and EWS categories. Delays in submitting the DAF-II or necessary documents beyond the prescribed date will result in the cancellation of the candidature for the examination. Candidates may also upload additional documents or certificates of higher education, achievements, or service experience.
Candidates recommended for service allocation will be considered by the government for assignment to the services they have prioritised in their DAF-II, subject to meeting other conditions. Preferences for services cannot be changed after submission. Candidates not indicating any service preferences will not be considered for service allocation.
Candidates opting for the Indian Administrative Service or Indian Police Service must indicate their preferences for zones and cadres for allocation in their DAF-II. Changes to these preferences will not be permitted once submitted.
Candidates are advised to carefully select their service and cadre preferences and refer to the relevant rules and policies, including the cadre allocation policy for the examination, available on the websites of DoPT and CSE+.
DAF-II must be submitted online on the Union Public Service Commission’s website, https://upsconline.nic.in, between 13 December and 19 December 2024 by 6:00 PM. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of candidature, and no e-Summon Letters will be issued in such cases.
Requests for changes or modifications to information provided in DAF-I and DAF-II will not be entertained. However, candidates must promptly notify any changes to their address or contact details to the Commission within seven days of this notice.
Qualified candidates must also complete the Attestation Form online, which will be available on the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) website from the commencement of the Personality Tests until their conclusion. Queries about the Attestation Form should be directed to DoPT through their email addresses or phone numbers provided.
Mark sheets for all candidates will be uploaded on the Commission’s website within 15 days of the publication of the final result after the Personality Tests. These will remain accessible for 30 days.
