New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 15th Rozgar Mela, distributing over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth across various Central Government ministries and departments. Modi emphasized that when the youth actively contribute to nation-building, the country progresses rapidly and gains recognition on the global stage. Speaking via video conference at the 15th Rozgar Mela, he highlighted the dedication and innovation of India’s youth as a testament to the nation’s vast potential.
Modi said that the new recruits now carry the significant responsibility of boosting the economy, ensuring internal security, enhancing modern infrastructure, and improving the lives of laborers. Their integrity and commitment to their roles, he noted, will directly support India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation (Viksit Bharat).
He also spoke about the recently announced manufacturing mission in the Union Budget, which aims to promote Make in India and provide the youth opportunities to create products that meet global standards. This initiative is expected to strengthen millions of MSMEs, support small entrepreneurs, and generate widespread employment.
The Prime Minister also announced that Mumbai will soon host the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES 2025), with a special focus on young creators in media, gaming, and entertainment. He described it as a groundbreaking opportunity for innovators in these sectors to present their talent.
Additionally, Modi praised the growing achievements of women in fields like bureaucracy, space, and science, while reiterating the government’s strong focus on empowering women in rural areas.
The Rozgar Mela took place at 47 locations nationwide, with new hires joining various Central Government Ministries and Departments such as Revenue, Personnel and Public Grievances, Home Affairs, Posts, Higher Education, Railways, and Labour and Employment.
