New Delhi: The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has issued guidelines for the 28th National Awards for e-Governance (NAeG) 2025. Nominations for the awards can be submitted online at www.nceg.gov.in from 1 January 2025 until 5 pm on 15 February 2025.
The web portal was launched by the Secretary, DARPG, V. Srinivas, who also presented the guidelines for submitting nominations. Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Vivek Bharadwaj, addressed senior officials from Central Ministries, State Administrative Reforms and IT Departments, and District Collectors in a hybrid meeting. During the event, three Gold Awardees from the NAeG 2024 shared their experiences.
The awards aim to recognise and promote excellence in the implementation of e-governance initiatives across the country. Recognised as one of the most prestigious schemes in digital governance, the NAeG awards focus on innovation, technology, and public service delivery.
The awards for 2025 will be given across six categories: Government Process Re-engineering, Innovation by Use of AI and New Age Technologies, Best e-Governance Practices in Cyber Security, Grassroots Level Initiatives for Deepening Service Delivery, Replication and Scaling up of Successful Nationally Awarded Projects, and Digital Transformation through Data Analytics.
This year, a total of 16 awards will be conferred, with 10 Gold Awards and 6 Silver Awards. Gold Awardees will receive a trophy, certificate, and an incentive of Rs 10 lakh, while Silver Awardees will receive Rs 5 lakh. These incentives are intended to support further implementation of projects or to bridge resource gaps in areas of public welfare.
The awards scheme continues to foster innovation and encourage the adoption of digital governance practices at all levels, promoting efficiency and citizen-centric services nationwide.
