TCS launches AI-enabled cloud and cybersecurity platforms

New Delhi: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services company, has launched two strategic technology platforms designed to advance the digital modernization of government institutions, public sector enterprises, and regulated industries. The launch of the TCS SovereignSecure Cloud and the TCS Cyber Defense Suite marks a significant milestone in India’s journey toward self-reliant and secure digital infrastructure.

The TCS SovereignSecure Cloud is a fully indigenous cloud solution built with integrated artificial intelligence capabilities. It has been architected to support mission-critical applications while ensuring full compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act of 2023. By leveraging TCS-operated data centers located in Mumbai and Hyderabad, the platform guarantees that all sensitive and regulated data remains within India’s jurisdiction. This reinforces the principle of data sovereignty and is expected to play a crucial role in supporting national programs related to governance, defence, public welfare, and smart infrastructure.

At the launch event in New Delhi, TCS CEO and Managing Director K. Krithivasan described the initiative as a response to some of India’s most strategic opportunities. Emphasizing a forward-looking approach, he remarked that these are not challenges, but opportunities to transform public services, secure digital ecosystems, and deliver inclusive and intelligent governance. He reaffirmed TCS’s long-term commitment to building innovative solutions within India, for India, and with potential to serve global needs.

In tandem with its cloud platform, TCS also introduced the TCS Cyber Defense Suite, an AI-driven security-as-a-service offering designed to deliver real-time threat detection, automated responses to cyber incidents, and proactive risk mitigation. The platform is equipped to provide layered and comprehensive protection across diverse technology environments, including IT and operational technology systems, hybrid and multi-cloud setups, and infrastructure components critical to national security and public administration. It covers key security domains such as identity and access control, network and infrastructure defense, application security, and data protection, helping institutions to maintain operational continuity and regulatory compliance.

These developments are in alignment with India’s national digital strategy and policies that prioritize secure, scalable, and sovereign technological infrastructure. By deploying AI-enabled, compliant platforms tailored for India’s public sector landscape, TCS is contributing meaningfully to the goals of Digital India, Make in India, and the broader national cybersecurity framework. The launch highlights the increasing need for robust domestic capabilities in cloud computing and cybersecurity to safeguard sensitive data, critical services, and citizen trust.
