Mumbai: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has taken a significant step towards modernising its internal operations with the launch of its revamped intranet portal. The initiative aims to enhance communication, collaboration, and efficiency within the organisation.
The new portal was inaugurated by Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of IREDA, at the company’s registered office in Mumbai. The event was attended by Director (Finance) Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Chief Vigilance Officer Ajay Kumar Sahani, and other senior officials.
Reflecting on the upgrade, Pradip Kumar Das explained the need for a more advanced platform, saying, “Our earlier intranet portal, developed nearly a decade ago, served us well. However, with evolving organisational needs and technological advancements, a comprehensive upgrade was required. This new portal, with its user-friendly features like easy access to policies, announcements, and MIS reports, is designed to meet the demands of a modern and dynamic workplace. It will act as a centralised hub, enabling our team to work more seamlessly and cohesively as we continue to innovate and grow.”
The updated platform integrates essential applications and tools, providing employees with a resourceful space to stay informed and aligned with the company’s objectives.
The launch event also turned solemn as IREDA’s Board of Directors and officials observed two minutes of silence to honour the passing of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. Reflecting on his legacy, Pradip Kumar Das said, “Dr Manmohan Singh was a visionary leader and an economist par excellence, whose contributions to the nation’s growth and development will always be remembered. His leadership and wisdom continue to inspire us as we strive to contribute to the nation’s progress. On behalf of the IREDA family, I extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family.”
The day marked both a forward-looking organisational milestone and a poignant tribute to a leader whose vision left an indelible mark on the nation.
