NBCC secures Rs 101 crore project from NHAI

New Delhi: National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) India has been awarded a work order worth approximately Rs 101 crore from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for project management consultancy services. The order pertains to the construction of a permanent office building for NHAI's regional offices and project implementation units. Following the announcement, NBCC's shares increased by 1.24%, trading at Rs 178.65.
 

In recent months, NBCC has been active in securing contracts, including a Rs 75 crore project to enhance infrastructure at the Indian Institute of Information Technology in Nagpur. Earlier, its subsidiary, HSCC (India) Ltd, was awarded a significant contract valued at Rs 1,261 crore to establish an AIIMS hospital in Darbhanga, Bihar.
 

The company's financial performance remains robust, with a consolidated net profit rising by 39.2% to Rs 104.62 crore in the first quarter of FY25, compared to Rs 75.14 crore in the same period last year. Net sales also saw a year-on-year increase of 10.7%, reaching Rs 2,118.68 crore.
 

NBCC operates in three main segments: project management consultancy, real estate, and engineering procurement and construction. Since August 2012, the company has distributed 15 dividends, with a current dividend payout of Rs 0.63 per share, reflecting a dividend yield of 0.36%. The company has undergone two stock splits since 2016, improving its accessibility to investors.
