Bhopal: NTPC Vindhyachal and NTPC Khargone have jointly set up a mega pavilion at the 11th Bhopal Vigyan Mela, being held from 27 to 30 December 2024 at Jamburi Maidan, Bhopal. Organised by Vigyan Bharti in collaboration with the MP Council of Science and Technology, the event showcases advancements in science and technology.
The NTPC pavilion has drawn attention with its focus on sustainability and technological innovation. It features exhibits highlighting NTPC's initiatives in ash management, community development, and environmental conservation. LED displays detail the organisation's achievements, while interactive sections, including virtual reality games, power quizzes, and a diorama, provide engaging ways to learn about conventional and renewable energy.
A key attraction is the working model of the 10 TPD Carbon-to-Methanol Plant at NTPC Vindhyachal, which demonstrates NTPC’s efforts in green chemicals and sustainable energy. The pavilion also includes a tribute to NTPC's 50 years of operations, celebrating its journey and contributions to India's energy sector.
Representing NTPC Vindhyachal at the event, a team comprising Kiran Diwakar, Senior Manager (Green Chemicals), Sankara Subramaniam V, Deputy Manager (HR), and Dinesh Kumar Meena, Junior Engineer (EMG), has engaged visitors with their expertise and presentations.
The pavilion reflects NTPC's commitment to sustainability and innovation, providing a platform to connect with the community and inspire interest in science and engineering. The Bhopal Vigyan Mela 2024 continues to serve as an important event for sharing advancements and ideas in science and technology.
