New Delhi: Oil India Ltd (OIL) has announced its commitment to establishing 25 compressed bio-gas (CBG) plants by 2025, as part of its larger effort to support India's transition towards cleaner energy. This initiative, carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, aims to contribute to the country's green energy goals, marking a significant step towards a more sustainable future.

The company has developed a strategic plan that focuses on diversifying into alternative energy sources, with a long-term goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2040. This move is expected to generate economic, environmental, and social benefits, reinforcing Oil India’s role in the nation’s energy sector.
