A smart SI would have cracked Sushant Singh Rajput case in 15 days: Former UP DGP Vikram Singh

New Delhi: Expressing deep anguish, former Uttar Pradesh DGP Vikram Singh has said that a smart Sub-Inspector (SI) could have solved the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in just 15 days. “Yes, a smart SI could have cracked Sushant Singh Rajput's death case in just 15 days,” said Mr Singh, the illustrious IPS officer of 1974 batch, in an exclusive live interview with BureaucratsIndia on Friday.

He said that the police could have traced and investigated the last fifty calls, messages on social media platforms and emails made and received by actor Sushant Singh Rajput before his death and this could have led the police to cracking the case.

“It was the job of a smart SI, who could have done this,” he said, while expressing his sadness over how the case was not properly investigated. He also conveyed his strong disapproval to the manner in which the body a gang rape victim was cremated in Hathras.

The 34-year-old actor was found dead in his apartment in suburban Bandra on June 14 this year. The case is now being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). /BI/
