Kerala to screen new applications for Life Mission Housing Scheme

Kerala: Kerala Government has announced that it shall start examination of the eligibility of new applications in Life Mission Housing Scheme from November 1. According to a release on the State Government’s portal, a total of 9,20,260 applications (landless / landless homeless) has been received. The applications were invited to find out eligible beneficiaries who were not included in the life Beneficiary List published in 2017.

“The inspection is carried out by the concerned executive officers of the Grama Panchayats and Municipal Corporations. Applicants should provide the information along with the required documents during the inspection. Those who are unable to submit all the required documents along with the application have the opportunity to submit them during the inspection,” the release said.

According to the list of beneficiaries prepared by Life Mission in 2017, 2,75,845 families have so far been made owners of safe houses. Chief Executive Officer, Life Mission, IAS officer PB Nooh informed that all applicants should co-operate in the local body level screening program to find eligible beneficiaries. / BI/
