New Delhi: Like previous years, the Government has decided to undertake a Special Campaign for the disposal of pending matters and cleanliness from October 2 to 31, 2024. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has reviewed the preparation of the cleanliness campaign with the Secretary (RT&H) and other senior officers of MoRT&H, NHAI, and NHIDCL, and directed that special attention be given to the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters 2024, commencing 2nd October, 2024.

The parameters of the campaign include the disposal of references from MPs, the PMO, state governments, inter-ministerial references, parliamentary assurances, public grievances and appeals, the simplification of rules and processes, record management, the disposal of scrap and redundant items, beautification of offices, and the cleanliness campaign.

The Ministry has sensitised its attached and subordinate offices, autonomous bodies, and PSUs, and directed them to undertake this campaign in the most appropriate manner. The Ministry has already initiated preparatory action for identifying the targets under various parameters. Around 15,000 sites, including office buildings, construction camps, toll plazas, roadside amenities, roadside dhabas, bus stops, and stretches of national highways, have been identified for the cleanliness campaign. /BI
