New Delhi: The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) has announced the integration of the UMANG app with DigiLocker, India’s digital wallet. This collaboration aims to provide residents with seamless access to a wide range of government services, increasing convenience and enabling users to manage various services from a single platform.

 

The UMANG app is currently available for Android, with plans to introduce it for iOS soon. With just a few steps, users can now access these services through the DigiLocker app. This partnership between DigiLocker and e-governance services like UMANG aims to boost digital accessibility and improve the ease of living.

 

DigiLocker is a flagship initiative under the Digital India program, designed to provide secure cloud-based storage for essential documents. By integrating with e-governance services such as UMANG, DigiLocker is further committed to enhancing accessibility and convenience for users.

 

To use this service, users need to:

 

- Update their DigiLocker app.
- Open DigiLocker on an Android device.
- Click on the UMANG icon.
- Install the UMANG app when prompted.
