New Delhi: The Ahmedabad Flower Show has once again captured global attention by setting a new Guinness World Record. This year, the event showcased the world’s largest flower bouquet, a magnificent arrangement standing at 10.24 metres tall with a diameter of 10.84 metres. The bouquet’s size surpassed the previous record held by Al Ain Municipality in the UAE, whose bouquet measured 7.7 metres.
The achievement was officially recognised on 7 January 2025 by a team from Guinness World Records. The city’s Deputy Mayor accepted the award during a special event attended by dignitaries and enthusiastic visitors.
This is the second consecutive Guinness World Record for the Ahmedabad Flower Show, following last year’s feat of creating the longest flower wall. That record-breaking display measured an impressive 221 metres, overtaking the previous record of 166.15 metres.
Held at the picturesque Sabarmati Riverfront, this year’s flower show is set to run until 22 January. It features over a million flowers from more than 50 species, including exotic varieties such as roses, lilies, and orchids. The event is organised into six thematic zones, each highlighting aspects of Culture and Heritage, Sustainability, and a Vision for the Future.
To enhance the visitor experience, the show offers a QR code-based audio guide system, providing multilingual insights into the floral displays. The annual event continues to attract millions of visitors, reinforcing its status as a must-visit attraction with growing national and international acclaim.
