Andhra Pradesh unlocks real-time logistics visibility through new MoU

Amravati: A new agreement between NICDC Logistics Data Services Limited (NLDSL) and the Government of Andhra Pradesh is set to accelerate the state’s shift towards a fully digitised logistics ecosystem. The MoU was signed in Visakhapatnam during the 30th CII Partnership Summit, in the presence of Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The partnership focuses on building an integrated digital platform powered by the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP). Once in place, it will give government departments and private operators real-time visibility into logistics activities and performance indicators across the state. The objective is to streamline coordination, improve operational efficiency and support evidence-based planning.

Through INCAP, the state government will work with NLDSL to design a comprehensive logistics dashboard that tracks key metrics across departments. Analytical insights and detailed reports generated through this system will guide future upgrades to Andhra Pradesh’s logistics framework, drawing on the data capabilities made possible by ULIP.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Rajat Kumar Saini, CEO and MD of NICDC and Chairman of NLDSL. It was formally executed by C. V. Praveen Adithya, VC and MD of INCAP, and Takayuki Kano, CEO of NLDSL. The initiative aligns with the National Logistics Policy and aims to position Andhra Pradesh among the country’s most digitally enabled logistics states.

ULIP serves as a single digital entry point for logistics-related data from multiple government systems. It currently integrates 44 systems across 11 ministries through 136 APIs, covering over 2,000 data fields. More than 210 applications have been built using ULIP, generating upwards of 200 crore API transactions. Along with industry adoption, ULIP is also enabling data-driven governance for departments such as Coal, the Food Corporation of India and several state governments.
