Casio India’s ‘Recycle Responsibly’ campaign collects 1800 Kgs of e-waste in Delhi-NCR

New Delhi, April 8. Casio India has successfully collected over 1800 kilograms of electronic waste in the Delhi-NCR region under its ‘Recycle Responsibly’ campaign. The initiative, launched in collaboration with Karo Sambhav, a producer responsibility organization, emphasizes community participation and sustainable e-waste management.

Spanning 7 cities across the NCR, the campaign deployed 6 mobile collection vans and established 35 drop-off points to make e-waste disposal easy and accessible for everyone. From schools and colleges to residential societies and corporate offices, the initiative invited people from all walks of life to responsibly dispose of unused electronic items like calculators, watches, and other gadgets.

The campaign also focused on educating the public about the environmental and health hazards posed by improper e-waste disposal. Through workshops, awareness sessions, and street outreach, thousands of individuals were informed about the importance of responsible recycling and the correct methods to do so.

This initiative aligns with Casio India's commitment to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) under the E-Waste Management Rules and showcases how brands can play a pivotal role in shaping eco-conscious behavior among consumers.

“We’re proud to see the overwhelming response from the community,” said a Casio India spokesperson. “This campaign isn’t just about collecting e-waste, it’s about building a long-term mindset of sustainability.”

With India generating over 3.2 million tonnes of e-waste annually, initiatives like these are a much-needed push towards circular economy practices and responsible consumption.
