New Delhi: In a recent development, a significant reshuffle has taken place in the Delhi Police, with the appointment of Sagar Preet Hooda as the new Special Commissioner of Police (Intelligence) and Satish Golcha assuming the role of Director General (Prisons).
Sagar Preet Hooda, a 1997-batch IPS officer, previously held the position of Special Commissioner of Police-Operations (PCR and Communication). In his new role, Hooda will be responsible for overseeing intelligence operations within the force, in addition to managing perception and media relations.
Meanwhile, Satish Golcha, a seasoned 1992-batch IPS officer, brings a wealth of experience to his new role as Director General (Prisons). Golcha has served in various capacities within the Delhi Police, including as the Law and Order Chief and head of the Intelligence Division.
Officials from the Lieutenant Governor's secretariat confirmed that Golcha's appointment was made after receiving clearance from the Election Commission of India. The decision was based on recommendations from the Police Establishment Board. /BI
