Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has implemented a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring four Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and one Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) officer. This move, detailed in a circular issued by the General Administrative Department, aims to enhance administrative efficiency across the state.
Amrutesh Kalidas Aurangabadkar, an IAS officer from the 2012 batch, will assume the role of Deputy Municipal Commissioner in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. He returns to the State Cadre after previously serving in the Urban Development & Urban Housing Department.
Riddhesh P. Raval, an IAS officer from the 2019 batch, has been appointed as Deputy Municipal Commissioner of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. He was formerly the Supernumerary Additional Collector in Surendranagar.
Jayeshkumar B. Upadhyay, also from the IAS 2019 batch, has been transferred from his position as Supernumerary Additional Collector in Dahod to the Urban Development & Urban Housing Department, where he will serve as Deputy Municipal Commissioner in Ahmedabad.
Mahesh S. Jani, another IAS officer from the 2019 batch, has moved from his role as Supernumerary Additional Collector in Banaskantha-Palanpur to become the Regional Commissioner of Municipalities in Rajkot. This appointment will relieve Shri Swapnil Khare, IAS, of additional duties.
In addition, B.C. Parmar, a Selection Scale officer from the Gujarat Administrative Service, will take on the position of Officer on Special Duty at the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. He was previously the Secretary of the Gujarat Panchayat Services Selection Board in Gandhinagar. /BI
