New Delhi: The Maharashtra government has implemented a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 12 IAS officers to new roles. Anbalgan P has been appointed industries secretary, while Harshdeep Kamble has been named the general manager of the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST).
Anil Diggikar, a 1990-batch IAS officer who previously served as the general manager of BEST, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary in the Divyang Kalyan Department at the state secretariat in Mumbai. Kamble, a 1997-batch officer who was principal secretary in the industries, energy and labour department, will take over from Diggikar at BEST. Anbalgan, a 2001-batch officer and former chairman and managing director of MAHAGENCO, will succeed Kamble as industries secretary.
Radhakrishnan B, a 2008-batch officer and joint secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed the new chairman and managing director of MAHAGENCO, the state’s power generation company. Sanjay Daine, previously the collector of Gadchiroli district, has been posted as Commissioner (Textile) in Nagpur.
Wardha collector Rahul Kardile will now serve as commissioner of the Nashik Municipal Corporation, while Vanmathi C, joint commissioner (state tax), will replace Kardile in Wardha. Sanjay Pawar, CEO of Chandrapur Zilla Parishad, has been assigned to take over Vanmathi’s former role. Avishyant Panda, Commissioner (Textile) in Nagpur, will now serve as Gadchiroli district collector. Vivek Johnson, a 2018-batch officer, will assume the role of Chandrapur Zilla Parishad CEO.
Annasaheb Dadu Chavan, Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) for Pune Division, has been transferred to Mumbai as CEO of the Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojna Society. Gopichand Murlidhar Kadam, promoted to the IAS cadre from the state civil service, has been posted as CEO of Solapur Smart City.
BI Bureau
