Shivendra Dwivedi appointed as Additional Advocate General for Himachal Pradesh in Supreme Court of India

Shimla: The Governor of Himachal Pradesh has appointed Shivendra Dwivedi, Advocate, as the Additional Advocate General for Himachal Pradesh to conduct its cases before the Supreme Court of India.
 

Dwivedi has a law practice spanning two decades, with extensive experience in civil and criminal litigation, dispute resolution, and commercial matters. He is a member of the Bar Council of India and the Bar Associations of the Supreme Court and High Court of Delhi.
 

His primary focus includes constitutional matters, election laws, water disputes, land acquisition disputes, and matters related to white-collar crime, including PMLA, the Prevention of Corruption Act, and UAPA.
 

Previously, he served as the Additional Advocate General for the State of Haryana in the Supreme Court and as a panel lawyer for the Government of India. He has also handled matters for various PSUs in multiple judicial and quasi-judicial fora.
 

During an interaction, Advocate Dwivedi expressed his gratitude to the government for his appointment to the office of AAG, recognising his hard work, integrity, and professional commitment. He assured that he would put all his efforts into representing the State in the best possible manner to uphold the rule of law. He also committed to upholding the dignity of the office and the interests of the members of the Bar and the Bench.
