Chandigarh: The Punjab Government on September 5th, 2024 promoted one IPS officer to the rank of ADGP and ten officers to the rank of DIG while six others have been given a higher pay scale subject to fulfilment of conditions.

Rakesh Aggarwal has been promoted as Additional Director-General of Police (ADGP). 

Ten others have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector of General (DIG)
