New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited organised a plantation and plogging drive at its headquarters on 2 October 2024, as part of the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign. K.P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD of NBCC, along with Saleem Ahmad, Director (Projects), Suman Kumar, Director (Commercial), and other senior officials, led the initiative. On this occasion, NBCC also commemorated Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries.
NBCC remains dedicated to the National Cleanliness Drive and actively participated in the Swachhta Hi Seva (SHS) campaign, which ran from 17 September to 2 October 2024. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission, with a focus on encouraging voluntary ‘Shram Daan’ and promoting collective responsibility for cleanliness among citizens.
As part of its contribution, NBCC adopted several Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs) near its project sites across the country. This reflects the organisation’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement. With a total of 221 CTUs, NBCC has made considerable progress in ensuring cleanliness across various regions in India, driven by the active involvement of senior officials.
Founded in 1960 as a Government of India Civil Engineering Enterprise, NBCC has earned the status of a Navratna CPSE and has emerged as a leader in the construction sector.
