New Delhi: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited under the Ministry of Power, has officially handed over the Rajasthan-IV H-1 Power Transmission Limited project to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) on 15th October 2024 in Gurugram.
PGCIL was selected as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through the Tariff-based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL, the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC) for this project, which will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis.
The project involves the establishment of several substations, including a 765/400 kV (2x1500 MVA), a 400/220 kV (2x500 MVA), and a 220/132 kV (3x200 MVA) Kurawar substation. It will also include 2x330 MVAR, 765 kV Bus Reactor, and 1x125 MVAR, 420 kV Bus Reactor, along with associated works.
The handover ceremony took place with the CEO of RECPDCL presenting the SPV to the Company Secretary of PGCIL, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, PGCIL, and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited. The project is slated for implementation over the next 24 months.
