Gandhinagar: In the presence of the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the State Department of Science and Technology signed a partnership agreement with US-based technology company Intel Corporation for artificial intelligence readiness on 9th July 2024. The move was aimed at propelling the state to excel as a hub for innovation and investment in the digital economy.
The launch of this initiative highlights the Gujarat government’s commitment to promoting technological innovation and economic development. This partnership is a crucial step towards establishing Gujarat as a leader in artificial intelligence and digital technology. Principal Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, Mona Khandhar, described this initiative as vital for promoting a skilled workforce and technological advancement in the state through this partnership.
The initiative will be implemented in partnership with various stakeholders, including regional science centres, academic institutions, and government bodies. The programme strives to empower the ecosystem of India’s youth and equip them with skills, mindsets, and tools required to excel in an AI-driven world.
