Punjab Govt. transfers 38 IAS officers

Chandigarh: Under a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Punjab Government has transferred 38 IAS officers. A circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) confirmed the transfer orders. IAS Krishan Kumar (1997 batch), currently the Principal Secretary of Water Resources, has been given the additional charge of Finance Commissioner in the Taxation Department.

 

IAS Vikas Pratap (1994 batch) has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Excise Department. He was previously serving as the Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Finance Commissioner in the Taxation Department.

 

IAS Alok Shekhar (1994 batch) has been given the additional charge as the ACS of the Department of Justice. He is also the ACS of the Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Fisheries Department.

 

IAS Priyank Bharti (2001 batch) has been given the additional duty as Administrative Secretary of the New and Renewable Energy Sources Department along with the post of Administrative Secretary of the Science, Technology, and Environment Department. He previously held the post of Administrative Secretary of the Public Works Department (PWD) and Medical Education and Research Department, which has been assigned to IAS Ravi Bhagat (2006 batch), who also holds the post of Special Chief Secretary to the Punjab CM and Secretary of the Punjab Rural Development Board.

 

IAS Gurpreet Singh Khaira (2009 batch) has been appointed as the Special Secretary and Director of the Local Government Department.

 

IAS Ghanshyam Thori (2010 batch) has been appointed as the Special Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department and the additional post of Mission Director of the National Health Mission.

 

IAS Apneet Riyait (2011 batch) has been posted as the Special Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development Department along with an additional post of Special Secretary of Power. /BI
