Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has implemented a major reshuffle in the police department, transferring 10 IPS officers. This follows the recent large-scale movement of over 40 senior IAS officers in the state. Meenakshi Sharma, a 1995-batch IPS officer, has been reassigned from her role as Additional Police Commissioner in Bhopal to Additional Police Commissioner for Community Policing, with additional responsibilities for the RTI department at the Police Headquarters.
Irshad Wali, a 2004-batch IPS officer who served as Inspector General (IG) of the Narmadapuram division, has been moved to the Police Headquarters in Bhopal, also as IG. Taking his place is Mithlesh Kumar Shukla, a 2006-batch IPS officer who previously held the position of IG of the Gwalior Range.
Tushar Kant Vidyarthi, a 2009-batch officer, has been transferred from his role as Additional IG in Jabalpur to the Police Headquarters in Bhopal. Atul Singh, another 2009-batch officer, will take over as Additional IG in Jabalpur.
Other appointments include Ajay Pandey, a 2012-batch IPS officer, as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chhindwara, while Ramji Shrivastava and Manish Khatri have been named as SPs of Shahdol and Singrauli districts, respectively.
