New Delhi: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has launched its newly introduced 10 kg HP Navya composite LPG cylinder on Instamart, making it available through what the companies describe as India's first quick commerce-based on-demand LPG delivery service. The service has been rolled out initially in Bengaluru.
Along with the HP Navya composite cylinder, consumers can also order a 5 kg metal LPG cylinder through the Instamart app. The partnership gives HPCL a new digital distribution channel while making LPG deliveries faster and more accessible for urban consumers.
Amit Garg, Director-Marketing, HPCL, said: “Customer needs are evolving, and HPCL is committed to provide innovative solutions to meet them. We are making LPG more accessible and convenient for Naya Bharat with focus on safety, trust and reliability that customers associate HP Gas with. HP Navya, our new Composite LPG Cylinder brand, reflects our commitment to delivering innovative energy solutions that make everyday life simpler and more convenient. Through the Instamart platform, we will be able to reach customers through a fast, convenient and digitally enabled platform, making HP Navya Composite LPG Cylinders more accessible while enhancing the overall customer experience.”
HP Navya has been designed as a lightweight, corrosion-resistant composite cylinder with a translucent body that allows consumers to monitor gas levels. Its compact design is aimed at apartments, students, working professionals, small families and households seeking a secondary LPG cylinder.
The service is also available to consumers who do not have an existing domestic LPG connection, expanding access to a wider customer base.
Amitesh Jha, CEO, Instamart, said: “Instamart has expanded its consumption use cases well beyond groceries to become part of everyday life. With HPCL, we’re extending that convenience to an essential household service, bringing LPG onto Instamart while maintaining the safety and reliability standards consumers expect.”
Customers can place orders for either the 10 kg HP Navya composite cylinder or the 5 kg metal cylinder through the Instamart app. The first order is treated as a new purchase, while future refill orders can be placed by returning the empty HPCL cylinder at the time of delivery.
Orders will be fulfilled through HPCL's authorised distributor network and delivered by trained personnel in accordance with applicable safety and regulatory protocols. First-time purchases will require identity verification and proof-of-delivery documentation.
The launch marks HPCL's entry into quick commerce-based LPG delivery, adding a digital ordering channel for consumers while retaining its existing distributor-led fulfilment model. Instamart, which currently offers more than 50,000 products across categories, has expanded its platform to include LPG cylinders as part of its household essentials portfolio.
