Gandhinagar: Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India recently hosted a major leadership conference at GIFT City, Gandhinagar, bringing together its top executives and heads of international units from key global markets, including the UK, Singapore, Bahrain, Kenya, Fiji, Mauritius, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
 

This event follows LIC’s approval from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) to open an insurance office at GIFT City, a move expected to boost the company’s international operations. By capitalising on GIFT City’s offerings, LIC aims to strengthen its global reach and deliver innovative insurance and investment products tailored to the Indian diaspora.
 

Speaking at the event, LIC’s CEO and Managing Director, Siddhartha Mohanty, highlighted the significance of the new office, which will act as a launchpad for expanding LIC’s brand internationally. He stressed the importance of a focused approach in reaching new markets and how the GIFT City office will serve as a crucial hub for this growth. The event provided a platform for the leadership to discuss strategies aimed at enhancing global expansion.
 

LIC’s move to establish a stronger presence through GIFT City is expected to significantly bolster its efforts to cater to Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) globally, positioning the company as a key player in the international insurance industry. /BI
