New Delhi: In a move aimed at strengthening vigilance architecture across key public sector undertakings and government departments, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of seven senior officers as Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs).
The appointments span strategic sectors including power, petroleum, steel, defence production and telecommunications, reinforcing the Centre’s focus on transparency, compliance and institutional accountability.
Among the key appointments, Babji Patchilla (IOFS: 1998) has been appointed as CVO of Indian Telephone Industries (ITI), Bengaluru, while Dalip Singh Bhadauria (IOFS: 2002) takes charge as CVO in the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Delhi.
In the steel sector, Dilip Kumar (IRSME: 2002) has been appointed as CVO of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Delhi for a three-year tenure, strengthening vigilance oversight in one of India’s largest steel producers.
Further, Trinadh Kumar Goriparti (IFoS: 2002, AGMUT cadre) has been posted as CVO of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Visakhapatnam, while Rajesh Kumar Singh (IRSS: 2002) has been appointed as CVO of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), Delhi.
In the oil sector, Shailendra Singh (IFoS: 1997, Tripura cadre) has been appointed as CVO of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Delhi, with a tenure extending up to September 2028, in line with his combined deputation tenure.
Completing the list, Saravanan Mannai Pathakkam (IPoS: 2000) has been appointed as CVO of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bengaluru, under the Department of Defence Production, for an initial tenure of three years.
Most of the appointments are for a standard tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge.
