Centre reshuffles 35 AGMUT cadre IAS and IPS officers across Union Territories

The latest round of transfers is part of the Centre’s periodic cadre management exercise for the AGMUT cadre, aimed at balancing administrative experience across Union Territories and ensuring effective governance in strategically important regions.

Centre reshuffles 35 AGMUT cadre IAS and IPS officers across Union Territories

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered a major reshuffle of 35 AGMUT cadre officers, transferring 21 IAS and 14 IPS officers across Union Territories and key administrative assignments with immediate effect.

Among the prominent IAS transfers, Vivek Pandey (2003) has been moved from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi, while Garima Gupta (2004) shifts from Mizoram to Delhi. Sanjay Goel (2004) has been transferred from Goa to Arunachal Pradesh, and Pawan Kumar Sain (2005) and Amjad Tak (2005) move from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi.

Other notable postings include Saugat Biswas (2006) from Arunachal Pradesh to Jammu & Kashmir, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (2009) from Jammu & Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh, Garima Gupta (2010) from DNH & Daman & Diu to Delhi, and Arava Gopi Krishna (2012) from DNH & DD to Ladakh.

Among younger officers, Shiveta Nagaroti (2020) has been transferred from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi, Mamta Yadav (2021) from Delhi to Jammu & Kashmir, R. Giri Sankar (2020) from Lakshadweep to Puducherry, P. V. Punshiba Singh (2022) from Delhi to Lakshadweep, Ishtita Rathi (2022) from Puducherry to Jammu & Kashmir, and Swati Sheema (2023) from Jammu & Kashmir to Delhi.

In the IPS cadre, Vivek Kishor (1999) has been transferred from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi, Sindhu Pillai (2001) from Andaman & Nicobar Islands to Delhi, and Nabam Gome (2003) from Delhi to Arunachal Pradesh.

The reshuffle also includes the transfer of Chinmoy Biswal (2008) from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi, Ajay Krishan Sharma (2008) from Goa to Delhi, A. Koan (2009) from Andaman & Nicobar Islands to Delhi, Varsha Sharma (2010) from Goa to Delhi, Pratiksha Gadara (2011) from Delhi to Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Jitendra Kumar Meena (2012) from Andaman & Nicobar Islands to Delhi, Anil Kukal (2013) from Puducherry to Delhi, Rajesh Kumar Sharma (2014) from Jammu & Kashmir to Chandigarh, Manjeet (2015) from Chandigarh to Delhi, Geetanjali Khandelwal (2015) from Chandigarh to Delhi, and Satyawan Gautam (2016) from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi.
