Punjab govt transfers 22 IPS officers

Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has ordered the transfer of 22 IPS officers with immediate effect. Among the officers transferred, Naunihal Singh of the 1997 batch has been posted as ADGP, Internal Vigilance Cell, Punjab, Chandigarh. S.P.S. Parmar, also from the 1997 batch, has been appointed as ADGP, Law and Order, Punjab, Chandigarh. Dhanpreet Kaur, a 2006 batch officer, has been posted as IGP, Ludhiana Range, Ludhiana. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, from the 2004 batch, takes over as Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, replacing Ranjit Singh.

 

Mandeep Singh Sidhu, an officer from the 2008 batch, has been posted as DIG, Patiala Range, Patiala, while Ranjit Singh Dhillon, from the same batch, has been assigned as DIG, Ferozepur Range, replacing Ajay Maluja. Rajpal Singh, a 2008 batch officer, has been posted as DIG PAP-II and Training, Jalandhar. Ajay Maluja, from the 2009 batch, is now posted as DIG STF, Bathinda. Harcharan Singh Bhullar, also from the 2009 batch, has been posted as DIG, Bathinda Range, replacing S.P.S. Parmar.

 

In other changes, Harjit Singh, from the 2010 batch, has been posted as DIG, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, SAS Nagar, while J. Elanchezhian, also from the 2010 batch, has been posted as DIG, Counter Intelligence, Punjab. Alka Meena, another 2010 batch officer, has been assigned the post of DIG, Personnel, Punjab, Chandigarh. Satinder Singh, also from the 2010 batch, takes over as DIG, Border Range, Amritsar. Harmanbir Singh Gill, from the same batch, has been posted as Joint Director, M.R.S., PPA, Phillaur. Ashwani Kapur, from the 2010 batch, has been posted as DIG, Faridkot Range, while Sukhwant Singh Gill, from the same batch, is now DIG Intelligence-I, Punjab.

 

Vivek Sheel Soni, a 2016 batch officer, has been appointed Commandant, 75th Battalion PAP, Jalandhar. Ankur Gupta, also from the 2016 batch, has been posted as DCP, Law and Order, Jalandhar. Shubham Agarwal, from the 2018 batch, takes over as DCP, Investigation, Ludhiana, while Abhimanyu Rana, also from the 2018 batch, has been posted as DCP, City, Amritsar. Ajay Gandhi, from the same batch, is now SSP, Moga, replacing Ankur Gupta, and Aditya, from the 2018 batch, has been posted as DCP, Headquarters, Jalandhar. /BI
