Shimla: SJVN organised a TB awareness session and Ni-Kshay Shivir (screening camp) at its corporate headquarters in Shimla as part of the 100-day intensified campaign on TB elimination initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Executive Director (HR) Chandra Shekhar Yadav and other senior officials attended the event to support the initiative. The session focused on educating contractual workers about TB prevention and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. The screening camp provided free medical consultations and treatment to contractual staff and their families.

A five-member medical team, including District TB Officer Dr Vineet Lakhanpal and other healthcare professionals, conducted screenings and consultations. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the risks of latent TB infection and encourage timely medical intervention.

As part of the National TB Elimination Programme and the TB-Mukt Bharat vision outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, SJVN organised a Ni-Kshay Shapath and plans to conduct TB awareness sessions and screening camps at its offices and project sites across India. The company remains committed to public health and the well-being of its employees and surrounding communities.
